Ryerson SnapChat Takeover.

Along with my other experience creating content for social media, I recently ran the Ryerson Professional Communication snapchat. The goal of my “takeover” was to highlight the flexibility of the Professional Communications Degree. The curators wanted to engage with students and enhance visibility to promote specific, individual interests within the Professional Communications degree. Prior to my takeover I was asked to show “how a degree in Professional Communication help me outside of the classroom?” Students want to know if Professional Communications can blend with who they are beyond the lecture hall. My Snapchat series purpose was to document my story while connecting with students to promote the Professional Communication program.

Two examples of the impact of my Snapchat takeover series come from Facebook. The first, on the left, is a Facebook status posted by Samantha Yeung. After posting this several other students commented their praises as well. The second image shows a personal message I received on Facebook from one of my peers.
